About the Role
Bright Future School is seeking an energetic and motivated Sports Teacher to lead our Physical Education program. The ideal candidate will encourage students to develop physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship through a variety of age-appropriate sports and games.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver PE lessons and sports activities for various age groups
- Teach fundamental skills in athletics, football, netball, basketball, and other sports
- Organize school sports days, inter-class competitions, and tournaments
- Monitor student fitness levels and encourage healthy lifestyle habits
- Ensure the safety of students during physical activities, including proper use of equipment
- Maintain sports equipment and facilities in good condition
- Identify and nurture talented students for possible inter-school competitions
- Promote values of discipline, fair play, and teamwork among students
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field
- Valid teaching certification/license recognized in Tanzania
- Experience coaching or teaching sports at primary/secondary level preferred
- First aid knowledge/certification is an advantage
- Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills
- Physically fit and able to actively participate in demonstrations
